Airborne meteo-navigation radar station «BURANA-140» is installed on AN-140 aircrafts, and «BURANA» in various modifications, on AN-148, AN-38, AN-74TK-300, IL-114 aircrafts as well as on the BE-200seaplane.

- absence of waveguide channel facilitates installationand maintenance of the aircraft;

- possibility of interfacing with the TCAS system andsatellite navigation system allows minimizing theequipment composition;

- dialogue mode of control and automated adjustmentfacilitates the work of a pilot;

- automatic processing and tuning of the «image»;

- electronic sight for measurement of themeteorological object and radiolocation referencepoints coordinates;

- detection of turbulence zones;

- compensation of the radio-waves attenuation in themeteorological formations;

- reflection and analysis of the vertical profile of themeteorological objects;

- location of the oncoming aircrafts;

- navigation in-flight view of the underlying surface.
