«ERA-IIр» PACKAGED EMULSION EXPLOSIVES (EE)

«ERA-IIр» PACKAGED EMULSION EXPLOSIVES (EE)

TU U 24.6-14310112-029:2005

«ERA-II р» packaged EE is a homogeneous mixture of emulsion and prilled ammonium nitrate with energy additives of aluminium and/or rubber crumb (polymeric matrix) obtained from reprocessed solid propellant.

«ERA-IIр» packaged EE (Application class II) is designed for surface and underground blasting operations (except for in mines and pits which are combustible dust or firedamp explosion hazardous). May also be used as a primed cartridge (booster).

«ERA-IIр» EE can be initiated by means of non-electric initiation systems for explosive materials (NEIS), as well as by traditional initiating devices (electric detonator, blasting cap).

«ERA-IIр» EE is manufactured in cartridges wrapped in polyethylene or other polymeric casings, of 45 to 120 mm diameter.

Reference Designation of «ERA-IIр» packaged emulsion explosives.

Example: diameter 90 mm, weight 3000 g

 EE «ERA-II р» 90/3000 TU U 24.6-14310112-029:2005

Compared with conventional explosives, «ERA» EE is:

  • low-sensitive to mechanical impact
  • producing no dust and accumulating no static electricity
  • TNT-free, therefore having a considerably lower content of toxic gases in products of detonation
  • safe to handle
  • Classified under Hazard Class I, subclass 1.1, compatibility group D
  • UN number: 0241
  • «ERA-IIp» packaged EE is delivered in cartridges, packed in corrugated cardboard boxes not exceeding 24 kg
  • Delivery by railway and departmental motor transport is available. In case of an emergency situation, works are to be carried out according to emergency cards for respective means of transport

«ERA-III» PACKAGED EMULSION EXPLOSIVES

(EE) TU U24.6-14310112-032:2005

Packaged, in separate polymeric casings, «ERA-III» EE is a homogeneous plastic mixture of emulsion and prilled ammonium nitrate with energy additives of aluminium and/or rubber crumb (polymeric matrix) obtained from reprocessed solid propellant.

«ERA-III» EE (Application Class II) is intended for surface and underground blasting operations (except for in mines and pits which are combustible dust or firedamp explosion hazardous). May also be used as a primed cartridge (booster).

«ERA-III» EE is suitable for loading blastholes and holes under any (blast)hole water conditions.

Initiation of «ERA-III» EE is achieved by use of non-electric initiation systems for explosive materials (NEIS), as well as by means of traditional initiating devices (electric detonator, blasting cap, detonating cord).

«ERA-III» EE is filled in cartridges, each in a polymeric casing of 25 to 90mm diameter.

Reference Designation of «ERA-III» packaged emulsion explosives.

Example: diameter 90 mm, weight 3000 g
