The Republic of India is satisfied with the current level of the bilateral military technical cooperation with Ukraine, and is expecting on its further development, the Ambassador of India to Ukraine Mr. Partha Satpathy said during his press conference at the Interfax-Ukraine information agency on Tuesday, November 27.
“We are satisfied with the current level of cooperation and will develop it”, - said the Indian Ambassador. According to him, an important factor for the development of the bilateral MTC is attractive price and quality of Ukrainian defense products. “This is a mutually beneficial cooperation. We hope that this cooperation will only grow”, - said Mr. Partha Satpathy.
Recall that India is one of the key partners of Ukraine in the field of military-technical cooperation. Only over the past 12 years, exports of defense products from Ukrainian enterprises to the Republic of India have exceeded $ 2 billion.
Since the year 2000 the official representative office of the SE SFTE “Spetstechnoexport” has been operating in Delhi, moreover – in 2018 the second representative office of the company was established in Nashik city. Supply of defense systems for Indian helicopters, joint research and the developments, establishment of production of specific aviation systems in India are among the new topical areas of cooperation between the countries. Also “Spetstechnoexport” is to participate in tenders for joint modernization of radars P-18 and ST-68, as well as air defense systems, such as ZSU-23-4 "Shilka", P-125 "Pechora".
