SE SFTE “Spetstechnoexport” along with the “Aselsan” company prepares tests of the first batch of active defense systems (APS) Zaslon-L, which is currently being supplied to Turkey. In case all tests will be successful, the companies begin negotiations on the establishment of serial production of Ukrainian systems in Turkey. This is stated in the new issue of the magazine MSI Turkish Defense Review.
In addition, the tests of the first batch of explosive reactive armour systems (ERA) “Duplet” are underway in Turkey. The project is being implemented between the companies “Spetstechnoexport” and “ROKETSAN”. Once the tests, carried out as a joint effort of the two companies, are completed successfully, talks on serial production will be launched, along with the issue of joint production.
Both systems are intended for use on M60 main battle tanks, which are in service of the Turkish Armed Forces. The modular and scalable universal structure of both systems allows them to be adapted to various different armored vehicles.
“We know that Turkey has already developed such systems in this field, however, our solution is a ready-to-use product that can be rapidly integrated onto the tanks. Turkey already has the necessary infrastructure to manufacture this highly economical product very easily”, - Vladyslav Belbas, Director of Spetstechnoexport said.
Aircraft building, unmanned weapons systems, development of new engines for armored vehicles, military radio communication systems remain the main areas of military technical cooperation development between Ukraine and Turkey.
Recall, that among the latest successfully implemented projects of the “Spetstechnoexport” is the integration of the anti-tank missile system (ATGM) “Skif” developed by the “State design bureau “Luch”, to the remote weapon station, developed by “Aselsan” company.
