German military are satisfied with experience of using the “Antonov” aircrafts. This was stated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel during her speech at the Ukraine-German Economic Forum, held on October 23 in Berlin. Members of the governments of both countries and businesses representatives were among participants of the Forum.
“Ukraine has a good basis for economic development. Worthy salaries, high professional skills combined with fairly large domestic market create good prerequisites for that. Ukraine has a number of developed sectors. I mean agrarian sphere, engineering, aircraft industry in particular. Besides, I would like to say, that German Bundeswehr has used Antonov aircrafts in its missions in Afghanistan and they were quite reliable”, - stated Angela Merkel.
According to Mykhailo Hvozdiov, Acting President of Antonov Company, Merkel's words are both pleasant and inherent considering that high performance of Antonovs are recognized by the military of almost all major countries. “Taking this pleasant opportunity, we would like to thank our partners from Germany, which are engaged in creating the new Antonov aircrafts, including multipurpose family of AN-148 and AN-158, are regular customers of various services of goods transportation provided by "Antonov Airlines" as well as maintain operation of “Ruslan” aircrafts, which are involved in SALIS programme (Strategic Airlift Interim Solution)”, - stressed Mykhailo Hvozdiov.
This year An-178 was presented at the air show at Le Bourge, where it received very favorable reviews and aroused an interest of different buyers from around the world.
“Antonov” and “Spetstechnoexport” are reliable partners for many years. Both enterprises are parts of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom".
