«Spetstechnoexport» established its second office in India and reached new agreements with the partners

October, 2018 – SE SFTE “Spetstechnoexport”, which is a part of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom", officially established its second liaison office in Nashik, Republic of India. Along with the Spetstechnoexport’s representative office in New Delhi, the new office will provide operational and effective cooperation with Indian partners.

In framework of the company's management visit to the Republic of India, by the participation of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India Mr. Igor Poliha, a meeting with Mr. Shri R Madhavan, Chairman of the Board of the leading state aviation corporation in India Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), in Nashik was held. The companies discussed new areas of cooperation, namely the supply of defense systems for Indian helicopters, joint research and the developments, establishment of production of specific aviation systems in India.

According to Vladyslav Belbas, acting director of the "Spetstechnoexport", the possibility of closer communication with foreign partners allows to increase the volume of cooperation. For example, this year, the "Spetstechnoexport" has almost tripled the volume of supplies of defense products to the needs of the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited aircraft division compared to the level of 2016.

At the same time, the "Spetstechnoexport" engages Ukrainian defense enterprises to cooperation with the HAL,  in particular the Lviv State Aircraft Repair Plant, the Odesa Aviation Plant, the State Enterprise “Institute for scientific research “Storm”, the State Enterprise "Kharkiv Machine-Building Plant "FED", the Kharkiv Aggregate Design Bureau, SE "Novator", LLC "Radionix" and others.

New arrangements were also achieved with the Indian state-owned company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). Henceforth, the "Spetstechnoexport" has an opportunity to take part in tenders for joint modernization of radars P-18 and ST-68, as well as air defense systems, such as ZSU-23-4 "Shilka", P-125 "Pechora" and others.

Recall that during the DefExpo-2018 international defense exhibition in India, the "Spetstechnoexport" signed new contracts in the aviation sector with the total cost of about USD 20 mln.
