Spetstechnoexport presented to the Indian Defense Minister the promising projects of cooperation with Ukraine

Spetstechnoexport company, that is a part of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom", has already worked out a number of mechanisms for the projects implementation of joint production of defense technologies with local Indian partners in the territory of India and is ready for their practical implementation.

That was reported to the Indian Defense Minister Ms. Nirmala Sitharaman by the CEO of Spetstechnoexport Mr. Vladyslav Belbas during the world defense companies CEO round table with the senior military leadership of India. The event was held within the framework of the international exhibition AeroIndia 2019.

The most promising projects are the joint production of An-132 aircraft and cooperation in the development and production of a component parts for airplanes of the Indian Air Forces, cooperation in the field of radar production and modernization of Soviet made air defense systems, supply of advanced tank-engines, production of high-precision shell rockets, missiles development. 

It was also emphasized that the light multi-purpose aircraft An-132 created in Ukraine has all the necessary advantages to become the main transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force. The new aircraft can be manufactured together in India in order to eventually replace the Soviet An-32s, which have been in operation for more than three decades by the Armed Forces of the Republic of India.

During the exhibition, a number of negotiations have already been held with companies that are ready to act as local partners of Ukrainian enterprises in the production of defense products for the needs of the Armed Forces of India.
