On February 20, in Bangalore, India, the International Exhibition on Aerospace, Defence & Civil Aviation AeroIndia 2019 was opened and will last until February 24. Participation of Ukraine in this exhibition is the largest in all past years.
The Ukrainian delegation, headed by the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleg Gladkovsky, includes Commander of Ukrainian Air Force of Armed Forces, Colonel -General Sergii Drozdov, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of India Dr. Igor Polikha, leadership of the State Enterprise "Ukroboronprom" and 15 state and private defense enterprises of Ukraine. "Spetstechnoexport" is the organizer of participation of the Ukrainian delegation in this event.
There is planned during the exhibition to hold official meetings with heads of the state defense and military institutions of India, as well as working meetings with leadership of the largest Indian public and private companies, including HAL, Bharat Dynamics Limited, Bharat Electronics Limited, DRDO, Larsen & Toubro, Adani Group, Punj Lloyd and others.
All negotiations will focus on further development of cooperation between defense companies of both countries in the fields of aircraft construction and manufacturing, joint production of modern radars, modernization of air defense systems, rockets development. Also, during the exhibition, an An-132D will be presented for the first time in India.
The exhibition participants will be able to observe demo flights of the Ukrainian aircraft and attend its static demonstration. The Ukrainian delegation will work at the joint stand of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom", where the model of the AN-188 military transport aircraft is presented, and two joint chalets of "Spetstechnoexport", "Antonov" and SAMI companies. The latest one participates in the development of the AN-132 project for foreign markets.
AeroIndia Show is held every two years and is the main platform for demonstrating its products to the militaries of the Republic of India and for expanding cooperation with Indian companies in the aviation and related fields.
It should be noted that 60 thousand representatives of the defense sector from around the world participated in the exhibition in 2017. India is currently positioning itself as a promising industrial hub for the global aerospace industry and pays special attention to the development of bilateral cooperation programs under the Make in India program.
