Light machine gun
Fort-401 is a light machine gun of 5,56x45mm that is intended to increase infantry firepower and meets all requirements of modern warfare.
It can be fired either from hands and bipod or from various transport mounts. Fort-401 is an air-cooled light machine gun. It features quick-detachable barrels, with two-barrel sizes available standard and short. Fort-401 has a dual-feed system, so it can alternatively use standard disintegrating belts or detachable box magazines. Belts of 150 round capacity can be used either by itself or fed soft assault drums.
The organic delivery set of the Fort 401 consists of a folding buttstock, a detachable bipod and a carrying handle installed on the barrel. In addition, it is possible to install various sights on the Picatinny rail.
