Within the framework of the initiated Dialogue between Ukrainian and Brazilian defense industries, the Ukrainian delegation paid a technical visit to the Federative Republic of Brazil, coordinated by SFTE SpetsTechnoExport from the Ukrainian side in the period from 8 to 15 of May.
The delegation consisted of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeniy Yenin, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Brazil Rostislav Tronenko, Chairman of the State Space Agency of Ukraine Volodimir Taftai, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom" Mykhailo Morozov, representatives of SFTE "Spetstechnoexport" and State Kyiv Design Bureau "Luch".
Ukrainian delegates held talks with representatives of the Brazilian Ministry of Defense, the Brazilian Air Force, Navy and Army, the Institutional Security Cabinet, and the Cybersecurity Department of the Brazilian Federal Police.
The delegates also visited the production facilities of Brazilian defense companies such as AVIBRAS, CONDOR NON-LETHAL TECHNOLOGIES, Akaer, Kryptus, Taurus Armas, Siatt, Embraer, etc.
The parties discussed the current relations between Ukraine and Brazil in the field of the defense industry, including military cooperation, import, and export of military and dual-use products, as well as the possibility of joint development and production, technology transfer.
Yevgeniy Yenin highlighted the importance of the defense industry dialogue, initiated in 2020, in the context of the development of strategic relations between Ukraine and Brazil. In addition, the parties reviewed the state of readiness of the draft bilateral agreements.
